First Against Tthe Wall

Know your enema!

I'm not going to hazard figures, because they change too fast and some pseudo-intellectual bean counter with entirely too much time on their hands would just nit-pick them to death, but it appears to me that the "Military Industrial Complex" has been responsible for the deaths of more Americans in Afghanistan than al-Qaida and the Taliban combined. The day doesn't go by, it seems, that you don't hear about another "accident" caused by a mechanical failure and/or equipment malfunction of some kind. Since, I refuse to believe that American military personnel are that poorly trained, or that they would fail to properly maintain equipment upon which the lives of their comrades depend, the only answer is the Pentagon's good-ole-boy procurement system and supplementary retirement fund.

When you think about it, the "Military Industrial Complex," with their $10,000 toilet seats, $600 screwdrivers and Buck Rogers space laser scam, has been the enemy of the American taxpayers since long before we ever heard of Osama bin Laden. And, now, it would seem that they have killed far more of our soldiers with their radical fundamentalist cost cutting and terrorist blood lust for greater profit. Accordingly, rather than wasting all this effort on Osama and his ineffectual little girly-terrorists, maybe its time we brought the war on terrorism home and started laying some of this grossly overpriced ordnance on the defense contractors who have killed far more of our military with their shoddy equipment.
